Kate Schmidgall

Kate Schmidgall is the founder and director of BitterSweet Creative, an award-winning story consultancy based in Washington, DC. Additionally, Kate is the founder and editor of BitterSweetMonthly.com, an online magazine that highlights organizations doing inspiring and much-needed work in response to critical social issues. In 2017, BitterSweet Monthly was recognized as one of the five best online magazines in the world—next to Conde Naste, WIRED, and the New Yorker. In 2014, Kate was named Young Entrepreneur of the Year by the DC Chamber of Commerce.
